SMS OTP Consent
This page describes how Alien App collects consent to send one-time SMS verification codes (OTP) to users during account registration in the United States.
1. Registration Flow
During account registration, the user opens the Alien mobile app (iOS or Android) and enters their mobile phone number. By entering their phone number and tapping "Next", the user proceeds with phone number verification, which is a mandatory step in account creation.
The registration screen includes a link to Alien's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which the user accepts by proceeding. Section 5.2 of the Terms and Conditions explicitly states that by providing a phone number and proceeding with registration, the user expressly consents to receive a one-time automated SMS verification code for account verification purposes only.

2. Message Details
Message type: One-time passcode (OTP) for phone number verification during account registration
Message frequency: One message per user-initiated verification request
Example message: 842038 is your verification code.
Marketing messages: None. No promotional or recurring messages are sent on this campaign.
Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply.
